Travel Diaries: Aloha! Maui Wowie

I recently had a dream vacation that satisfied my craving of a tropical getaway: Maui.

I’ve always dreamed of going to Maui since I went to Oahu with my parents 10 years ago. This trip was different from the last because I was going as an adult and with my boyfriend’s parents.

Our trip was filled with a mix of relaxation and adventures. We stayed at a beach front condo for 2 nights and the Grand Wailea for the other 2 nights.

The first night we went to the Old Lahaina Luau. The drinks were strong and the hula dancing was phenomenal.

Our first day, we went to the first zip line course in the United States,at Skyline Eco-Adventures. Each line was exhilarating and ultimately a blast. After zip lining , we had lunch at the lodge which had gorgeous views and are known for their stone over pizzas.

That afternoon, we checked into the Grand Wailea and enjoyed their private beach and pool. Saturday, we took advantage of the rentals and went paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling! The snorkeling was my favorite as we saw sea turtles.

The longest and most adventures day was the Road to Hana. We drove it ourselves opposed to taking a tour. We saw gorgeous natural waterfalls. My favorite hike was at Waianapanapa State Park. It was so unique to see black rocks & pebbles and how vibrant the colors of the plants and ocean were. After our hike we went Hamoa Beach to swim and layout. Absolutely paradise!

Our last day we did something off the bucket list: Parasailing! What better place to do it? Maui!! Not going to lie, I thought I wouldn’t be scared since I did zip lining but I was scared the first 5 minutes 800ft in the air! The views were breathtaking! Definitely something to experience.

The trip definitely was one of the best I’ve ever been on and I can’t wait to go back!
