Brunch Ya Know? The Pearl Hotel is Point Loma’s modern San Diego Boutique …trendy, unique and a pink flamingo. Coolest place around for summer, soak up the sun, mix and mingle with craft cocktails and DJ’s at 2 p.m.
Not a whole lot of space (intimate and quaint) so you may have to wait but that’s okay; sip on $12 unlimited mimosas. Literally “hang” out on the hammocks or by the massive succulent wall.
I of course went for the mimosas (you don’t have to ask for refills…like ever!) and went for my traditional Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was to die for!

We started at The Pearl then headed over to Shelter Island to Bali-Hai aka strongest Mai Thais. They have an excellent brunch with epic views of the San Diego harbor. Sipping on the strongest Mai Thai ever, I felt like I was on vacation. Well, staycation. If you want to get a buzz have the Mai Thai. If you want something mellow and still have that vacation feel, have the smooth and creamy Pina Colada.
Ended the afternoon with some good ol’ San Diego craft beer: my favorite of course, Ballast Point in Little Italy. We did brew tastings on there new extended back patio. Still number one for me the Grapefruit Scuplin, bold in flavor but oh-so-refreshing! For dinner had the Lamb Burger and fries. #yum
